Random quote: It was quite dark when he went by the towers of Tor, where archers shoot ivory arrows at strangers lest any foreigner should alter their laws, which are bad, but not to be altered by mere aliens. - Lord Dunsany (Distressing Tale of Thangobrind the Jeweller) - (Added by: Engelbrecht) |

Elite Veteran Posts: 1031 Location: UK | Only books one and two of James White's fun Sector General series are listed on WWEnd. There are reprints of some omnibuses which came out in 2016,and I would appreciate seeing the whole series listed. Thanks.

Haven't heard the Daley name for awhile. It looks like his stuff is being reprinted.

Veteran Posts: 273 Location: behind the 4th wall | Can you please add The Book of Etta by Meg Elison and Smoketown Tenea Johnson? Also maybe The Plague Diaries by Ronlyn Domingue? (It's not published until later this year but is available for pre-order so I think the pub date is solid.) Edited by dalex 2017-01-20 7:33 AM

Uber User Posts: 613 Location: New Zealand | Can you please add a book by Graham Joyce. My edition is called Do the Creepy Thing, but it also seems to have an alternate name of The Exchange. I guess what it is called depends on where you live. Also can you add Drink, Slay, Love by Sarah Beth Durst: Thanks

I put Domingue on the list for later this year. It's a bit too early for September publications.

Member Posts: 39 Location: Delmarva | Ooops, my bad. I thought it was the next book in the Merchant Princess series, so I didn't look any further. Or maybe it is listed incorrectly? " Empire Games: Book 1 " Thanks. Edited by striker2550 2017-01-27 10:34 PM

Member Posts: 26 Location: Washington state | Also: Wylding Hall by Elizabeth Hand won the 2015 Shirley Jackson Award for Novella. Could it please be tagged as "Novella" in the database? People may then find it when searching for novellas for the novella-based challenge.
Also also: "Near Zennor" by Elizabeth Hand won the 2011 Shirley Jackson Award for Novella. It is not in the database, but both collections it was included in - A Book of Horrors, ed. by Stephen Jones, Jo Fletcher books, AND later Hand's own collection, Errantry: Strange Stories - are. I would love it if "Near Zennor" could be entered separately and tagged "novella", much as Ted Chiang's individual stories/novellas/novelettes are. (Another novella from the Errantry collection - The Maiden Flight of McCauley's Bellerophon - is already listed separately.) Thanks again! Edited by Tantara 2017-01-28 11:18 AM

Sounds like it's one of the more original efforts for that year. Nothing like the other things in the database listed under a Dark Star search.
