Random quote: "A lot of the people who read a bestselling novel, for example, do not read much other fiction. By contrast, the audience for an obscure novel is largely composed of people who read a lot. That means the least popular books are judged by people who have the highest standards, while the most popular are judged by people who literally do not know any better. " -- The Economist

What did you end up using? What is the architecture? How difficult was it to set up?

Any comments?

hello alex, welcome to WWEnd. chris wilhite says you're one of his friends.... i'm sorry.

the site and this forum are asp/sql based. the forum software is MegaBBS with a custom skin we built to integrate into our site look and feel. we tried a couple other forums but this was by far the easiest to customize which is not to say it was particularly easy.  took a lot of trial and error but i'm quite happy with the end result.  i didn't want a forum that looked like it was tacked on. there are still a few little bugs to work out but nothing major.

we're not quite ready for our big debute but we're getting close to our beta launch. we'd love to hear what you think of the site!
