Random quote: "Cyberspace. A consensual hallucination experienced daily by billions of legitimate operators, in every nation, by children being taught mathematical concepts... A graphic representation of data abstracted from banks of every computer in the human system. Unthinkable complexity. Lines of light ranged in the nonspace of the mind, clusters and constellations of data. Like city lights, receding... " - William Gibson (Neuromancer)

The book The Language of Doctor Who: From Shakespeare to Alien Tongues was just recently released. I have an article in it about language and the regeneration of the Fourth Doctor to the Fifth. The book is from an expensive academic press, so I don't envision many folks running out to purchase it. However, I just wanted everyone to know what I did last summer, which was watch hours and hours of Doctor Who and write this article.

That's pretty cool. I find language and linguistics a fascinating subject. I think I will try to borrow this book through ILL if the library here doesn't get it.
