Random quote: "I think that most of us, anyway, read these stories that we know are not "true" because we're hungry for another kind of truth: the mythic truth about human nature in general, the particular truth about those life-communities that define our own identity, and the most specific truth of all: our own self-story. Fiction, because it is not about someone who lived in the real world, always has the possibility of being about oneself. " - Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game) - (Added by: Emil) |

Admin Posts: 4005 Location: Dallas, Texas | bleebs - 2016-10-18 6:52 AM Will the classics of science fiction list be updated to the new version? https://classicsofsciencefiction.com/ https://classicsofsciencefiction.com/classics-of-science-fiction-list/by-rank/ That's a good question. Jim launched the new version while I was on vacation and I haven't had a chance to look it over in any detail. I'll try to get with him soon to discuss and see if we should update on our end too. I'm leaning towards yes so we stay in sync but that might throw some people off who are trying to complete the list - especially if the changes are significant. Do you have a preference, bleebs?

Regular Posts: 99 Location: Belgium | My preference would go to updating the list, as v.4 is a better list imo: more up to date & based on more lists. The changes are quite significant indeed. Maybe in the description mention that the older lists are available for comparison on the site? | ||
