Synopsis
Initially nominated for the Nebula Award in 1981. It was withdrawn after it became clear the earliest publication was in 1974. The story can be found in the anthology New Dimensions 11 (1980), edited by Robert Silverberg and Marta Randall, and the collections The Bleeding Man and Other Science Fiction Stories (1977) and Dreams That Burn in the Night (1982)
