Synopsis
This short story originally appeared in the anthology Twenty Epics (2006), edited by David Moles and Susan Marie Groppi, and was reprinted in Lightspeed, June 2012. It can also be found in the anthologies The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror: Twentieth Annual Collection (2007), edited by Ellen Datlow, Gavin J. Grant and Kelly Link, and The Mammoth Book of Extreme Fantasy (2008) edited by Mike Ashley. The story is included in the collection Hart & Boot & Other Stories (2007).
