Synopsis
"La Morte amoureuse" (in English: "The Dead Woman in Love") is a short story written by Théophile Gautier and published in La Chronique de Paris in 1836.
A terrifying tale written in first person. It narrates the story of a young priest, Romuald, who falls in love with a mysterious woman called Clarimonde, a beautiful woman who turns out to be a vampire. He goes through strange experiences after meeting her and she haunts him in his dreams.
