Publishing since 1819... and still very independent
That's 189 years of publishing -- a long time by any standard. There have to be reasons for this grand old age and like most of the best explanations, it's pretty simple.
Our publishing has always been focused on meeting consumer needs. For this reason the list has built itself into a very practical range that provides solutions or applications. Ours are the titles that meet the everyday needs of a community.
Throughout our history we have seen ourselves as producingworking tools that happen to be books. We are obsessed about the accessibility of text and our commitment to editorial structuring and design communication is second to none.
