History
Women's Redress Press was one of Australia's leading small presses in women's publishing. Established in Sydney in 1983, it was a national non-profit publisher run by women to publish and promote progressive and first-time women writers. It also provided access for women to acquire valuable experience in all aspects of publishing; a number of its members went on to be employed by mainstream publishing houses. Women's Redress Press folded in 1996, having produced over twenty innovative and wide-ranging titles in fiction and non-fiction.
