History
Freight Books is a new imprint focused on publishing high quality fiction for an English speaking readership. We are committed to publishing work by established writers, brilliant debuts, short story collections, forgotten classics, occasional novels-in-translation and, from time to time, poetry collections.
As with our sister publication, Gutter, Scotland’s leading magazine of new writing, Freight’s publications will be characterised by brilliant writing, scrupulous editing and the highest standards of presentation.
Freight also has its own blog, which can be found here, where we post book reviews, design discussions, bookshop features and other miscellaneous features relating to publishing in the UK.
