Ursula K. Le Guin Memorial Reading Challenge
Genre fiction lost one of it's greatest writers with the passing of Ursul K. Le Guin. She was a pioneer for generations of women who followed in her footsteps and one of the most acclaimed genre authors, female or male, that ever put pen to paper. She was an inspiration to millions of fans the world over and a guiding light for many authors as evidenced by the many stirring remembrances written about her. This loss is deeply felt by the whole genre fiction community and we thought what better way for us to celebrate her life and works than by reading her words and exploring her worlds?
For this challenge you may choose any fiction or non-fiction by her and any biographies about her and her work. The reading level titles are taken from the magic system she built for her Earthsea stories and I've includes some optional review requirements.
If you're new to Le Guin this is your chance to see what the fuss is all about. If, like me, you've only read one or two of her major books you can use this challenge to read more broadly of her works. If you're an old hand at her oeuvre then you can take this opportunity to re-read some old favorites.
Use the forum thread for this challenge to talk about what you're reading and maybe even share with us how Le Guin has impacted your life.
