Horses in Genre Fiction!
This mini challenge is all about horses! Read 3 or 6 books in which horses are main characters or where horses are a main part of the plot. Books where beings just ride them as a means to get somewhere or where they are just mentioned on a page or two don't count. Books featuring alien equine-like creatures that are main characters or are the main focus of the plot count. Rereads are allowed. Reviews are optional, but it's always nice to hear about what people think. Comments about the books in the challenge thread are always encouraged.
A good place to start for those who need some recommendations, are Judith Tarr's Epona series and CJ Cherryh's Finisterre series.
