Worlds Without End Roll-Your-Own Reading Challenge

The Tolkien Reading Challenge

The Tolkien Reading Challenge

In honor of the passing of Christopher Tolkien this year, I'm bringing back the Tolkien Reading Challenge. Professor Tolkien was the foremost scholarly authority on his father's writings: editing The Silmarillion, The History of Middle Earth series, three new novels, a collection of his father's letters, and several non-Middle Earth works. We owe a great deal of debt to the effort of Christopher Tolkien for editing and publishing so much work of his father's that would have never seen the light of day and letting us peer into the mind of one of our favorite authors of all time.

The challenge is to read any of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, with at least one being from the books edited by Christopher Tolkien. You may also read any of the non-fiction books about Tolkien, Middle Earth, or the Inklings. Rereads are allowed.
