It's not about the destination...

What's your favorite story? Does it have a hero who slays a dragon and saves a princess? Or a child of prophecy destined for greatness? Well, my favorite story is a little different. It's the tale of a witch who travels the world, seeking nothing in particular. With no quest of her own, she's free to wander wherever the wind takes her, adding a few pages to the story of whomever she meets before setting off on her next adventure. At the end of her travels, the witch takes on an apprentice who will one day begin her own journey. And so the cycle continues, or so the story goes. Now, the witch who starts the story anew...who could she be?

It's not about the destination...

A runaway princess, a zombie nation, a divine cat, and lots and lots of bread. These are just a few of the many highlights that color the travels of our young witch. Each place she visits is a new story waiting to be told, rife with encounters that are anything but typical--and rarely ending the way anyone expects. Such is the magic of wandering, you see. You never know quite where you'll end up. A tale can take a turn at any moment and become something else entirely...

No two adventures are alike, and our young witch understands this better than most. She knows that for every happy ending, there is always a sad one-and some stories have no ending at all. But with experiences as varied as dream-demon encounters, magical wars, and stomping grapes, the life of a traveler promises one thing if nothing else-the journey is (almost) always worth it!

It's a wonder how one witch can see so many fantastic places yet never settle down. Then again, when your average encounter involves biting into a poisonous apple, meeting a clumsy spy, rendezvousing with a flying dragon, finding a sunken city, exploring a frozen town, and more... you might find yourself reluctant to stay in one place, too. Be that as it may, this isn't the case for everyone. In fact, there's nothing Amnesia wants more than to go home, if only she could piece her memories back together...

Fresh encounters and warm reunions abound on the next leg of Elaina's journey. In addition to travels involving a witch in a bird cage, a ruthless princess, a phantom thief, and a pinch of stardust, there have even been whispers of... love?

On this stretch of her travels, Elaina encounters an upstart broom racer, a bandit and his mother, a political power couple, the secret lives of tools, a heartbroken medicine maker, a cursed slave, a demon down on their luck, and last but not least, a teacher and schoolgirl at a certain academy who share a peculiar entanglement with a baker. Venturing here, there, and everywhere, Elaina spins yarn after whimsical yarn. What new farewells await her this time?

No matter what corner of the world Elaina seems to find herself in, her journey shows no signs of slowing down. During this particularly magical string of adventures, she encounters a mysterious woman who runs a used bookstore, a renowned witch tasked with eliminating a group of bandits, a man and woman who find common ground within their checkered pasts, a land of witches obsessed with statues, a village populated only by beautiful women, a dragon emerging from its four-hundred-year slumber inside a boulder, and the witch who sealed it there. Many of these tales seem almost quaint, though, in comparison to the legendary account of two young witches and their discovery of a time-reversing pocket watch...

If there's one immutable truth in which our Wandering Witch can take comfort, it's that each new destination promises a one-of-a-kind experience. Nostalgic flavors of the past mingle with the refreshing taste of the present, and as with a loaf of bread hot out of the oven, Elaina is ever ready to sink her teeth in. This time, however, Elaina may have bitten off a little more than she can chew. When she at last crosses paths with a certain dark-haired girl, a pivotal chapter in her life will see its conclusion...or perhaps its beginning?

Elaina, now alongside her mentor, Stardust Witch Fran, continues her leisurely journey. On this leg of her travels, she encounters a commander and a record keeper living in a mysterious restaurant, two college girls searching for a historical scoop, a charcoal witch and her talented assistant, a girl who pines after a prince, plus her concerned family, and finally, the daughter of a distinguished mage clan and her orphaned friend. Can Elaina provide the help they need?

Elaina's nearing the end of her journey alongside her Master. This time she'll come across a lovelorn mermaid and a late-blooming nomad, a troublesome face from Fran's youth, a narrow-minded novelist, sisters searching for a new home, a magician living in a castle in the sky, a demon lurking in a book, and a magic doll modeled after the Ashen Witch and a broom, and the grief of losing an important friend, the charcoal witch. Various incidents detain the two and hinder the end of their journey.

The life of a traveler is one of unparalleled freedom, and Elaina is determined to live hers to the fullest! Even if that means enduring the occasional misadventure. On this leg of her journey, she encounters a puppet detective, a pair of witches living in a suspicious manor, a theater troupe made the talk of the town by unsavory rumors, a country that practices a strict veggie--only diet, a highly intelligent magical beast at odds with a band of forest nomads, and a vampire who wanders from nation to nation in search of the blood of beautiful women. Will wonders ever cease for this Wandering Witch?

Just when you thought their travels were slowing down, Elaina and friends dive headfirst into a slew of new adventures! On this leg of her journey, the ashen witch encounters the seldom-seen dark elves, bumps into a bizarre photographer, attempts to recover a little girl's long-lost smile, and continues her never-ending quest to fill both her pockets and stomach while an exorcist endeavors to free her from the clutches of avarice. Meanwhile, the sisters Amnesia and Avelia explore a new city, and Saya runs into the last person she expected to see...

Elaina continues her journey around the world, and on this leg of her trip she'll come across a suspiciously laid-back woman with money on the brain, a young man who lost his will to live, an impossibly dandy gentleman, a troubled slaver and his ex, an undercover detective, a particularly fluffy witch, and a summer-loving witch with terrible communication skills! No doubt Elaina will find herself wrapped up in any and every misadventure that comes her way!
