Biography
Luanne Armstrong was born and raised in the Kootenays. She holds a BA (Honours) in Creative Writing and Journalism from the University of Victoria and a MFA in Creative Writing from UBC. She has taught at the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology, the College of the Rockies, The Kootenay School of the Arts, the Okanagan School of the Arts and Langara College. She has also been an organizer in the women's movement and the peace movement, and an organic farmer.
Luanne Armstrong's writing has appeared in several newspapers and magazines, including the Vancouver Sun and Georgia Straight, Geist, Herizons, and Salon Online.
She is managing editor of Hodgepog Books when she's not writing numerious books.
