justifiedsinner - 2014-02-07 6:11 PM I'm feeling banner-ile envy.

I haven't forgotten about you, JS.  I've got a couple things in mind but nothing final yet. I'll try again over the weekend.

So... here's an idea...

A bit. Some of the nominated books (and in some years, more than some) are better than the winners.
Cracked me up when I first saw it, though.

The banner for "Your Bucket List" is perfect. I love it! Let's run with it.

Can you help me with a cover for Ballard's "Vermillion Sands"? It's always been a bucket list title for me, but I want to read it specifically for the "Short Fiction" challenge. I promise I'll write a review if I can get the cover added. How can I help you do that?

I think you mean adding the book (the cover is part of the process). The proper place is here:

but I should warn you there is a backlog.

Dave, thank you for the Pick and Mix banner..Not sure what is being picked and mixed, but they are surely mixed - nd very pretty. Great fun,and the title of the challenge plain to see! Thank you,and I am happy to have it as my banner. It was getting pretty lonely there,so few of us bannerless, looking enviously or pitifully at our neighbours Many thanks.

Well, it's not exactly clear is it?  I opted for pretty mostly but if you think of the glass balls as "worlds" that are all mixed up and you have to pick from so many beautiful shiny ones....  Yeah, it's pretty.

Any way a banner could be made for the LGBT Challenge? I haven't touched Photoshop or Gimp in many years, and I was never great at that stuff anyway.

Pretty please? :D

There are a lot of LGBT symbols but none is more iconic than the rainbow flag so I started with that and decided to just keep it really simple with a nice bold font in white with a drop shadow to give it a little dimension and separate it from the yellow stripe in particular.  What do you think?

Perfect! Thank you so much!

We can use this on our off-site blogs, yes? Along with a link to the challenge?

I see the problem you're having with the creature banner. It would be simple to go all horror on it but no spooky creatures is a bit tougher. If something occurs to me to try and give it a go this weekend.

Thanks Admin. Whatever you may come up with will be fab I'm certain.

Took a little longer than expected but here's an idea for the Creature Feature.  What do you think?

Hrmmm. I certainly like it more than the present banner. But I must confess that the enormously misproportioned gorilla-like beast in the center seems to draw too much attention to itself and away from the other awesome creatures. (Too nitpicky. Yes. Sorry.) Plus, headless peoples.

The guy to the right of the gorilla seems to have something monstrous going on too.
