Atheneum is an imprint of publishing giant Simon & Schuster. The full name of the imprint is "Atheneum Books for Young Readers."
Atheneum publishes some SF/F titles but as their name suggests their focus is on works for children and young adults. Founded in 1961, Atheneum produced such award-winning titles as the Helliconia titles by Brian Aldiss, and "The Forgotten Beasts of Eld" by Patricia McKillip.
